24. Force Ghost Anakin Awakens
Many Star Wars fans were upset at the Sequel Trilogy for seemingly tarnishing Anakin Skywalker's legacy, largely ignoring his Light Side persona throughout the series while developing Kylo Ren's obsession with his Sith Lord alter ego, giving Hayden Christensen no more than a cameo line in The Rise Of Skywalker.
Things could have been very, very different. This concept art, originally for The Force Awakens, shows a Force Ghost Anakin, whose spirit is still corrupt with the Dark Side.
The Anakin/Vader hybrid Force Ghost would have been a unique concept, demonstrating either the corruption of the Dark Side or the need for balance within The Force. The re-appearance of Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker would have also helped the Sequel Trilogy feel like it meshed better with the six films that had come before it.
At least we have this tantalizing piece of concept art to showcase what might have been.
