Chewbacca is one of Star Wars' most famous characters, a character as loveable for his cuddly design as his loyalty to Han and friends.

These early takes on the character would have been a bit less child friendly, looking more like a dodgy sketch of a Sasquatch than anything resembling a Wookie.

As with many entries on this list, this original piece of concept art would eventually be revisited, this time providing the basis for the design of Zeb and other Lasats in Star Wars Rebels.
