20. Live-Action Asajj Ventress

Before the conception of Count Dooku, an early version of Asajj Ventress was intended to be Darth Sidious' apprentice in Attack Of The Clones, replacing Darth Maul.

While it's unclear whether this early live-action Asajj Ventress would have been related to Maul, as was revealed in The Clone Wars animated show, Ventress' film appearance would have been the only live-action appearance of a female Sith to date.

After the creation of Dooku, Ventress was pushed back to the drawing-board, to be thankfully revived by George Lucas and Dave Filoni during the creation of Clone Wars.

Thankfully, the show gave us more than just a cardboard-cutout assassin, as Ventress' character developed over the series and quickly became a fan favourite.
