22. Plava Laguna Has The Stones - The Fifth Element (1997)
The great thing about this mind-bending scene is it leaves us with all questions and no answers. The second the blue alien says Theyre in me and we see the change on Corban Dallass face. Some recoil in fear and Im sure gore-fans leaned in closer to the screen. He pulls the stones out covered in blue goo and we move right along to killing Mangalores. But thats the great thing about this film, every detail has a story behind it that leaves us pondering what it might be, and the stones keep us guessing long after the credits. How did the stones get in her belly? Did she have them surgically put in, or did she eat them with a side of french fries? Or can her alien body just absorb them osmosis? Did she ever pass one and have to re-eat it like Maria Full of Grace, only Plava Lagoona Full of Stones? Can she feel them when she exercised? Is that why she could sing so well, like they gave her special powers? How long were they in her anyways? We will never know.
Honerable Mention: When Leeloo puts that capsule in the microwave and pulls out a whole chicken. Just... why dont we have that now?
