25 Movie Sequels That Will Kick Ass In 2018
17. Sicario 2: Soldado
Again, Sicario didn't entirely lend itself immediately to a sequel, but the idea of seeing another US black-ops mission with Josh Brolin and Benicio Del Toro teaming up is a great idea, even if Emily Blunt isn't involved.
The original film's director Denis Villeneuve also hasn't come back, but he has handed over the reins to Gomorrah director Stefano Sollima who has previous with noir crime, so it's in good hands.
The plot this time centres on Brolin's CIA operative teaming back up with Del Toro's hardcore former agent and looking to put an end to the drug cartels sneaking terrorists into the USA. It's likely to be darker, harsher and more difficult to watch, but in entirely the right ways.
