The other Tupac movie coming out this year sees two Walking Dead stars taking main roles, as Lauren Cohan and Danai Gurira join the ensemble telling the story of Shakur's life and career up to his murder in 1996.
Beset by production controversies and general issues, it's been a long hard road for All Eyez On Me, but it has a lot going for it. First off, it's telling a rich and iconic story (and one of the most famous in modern musical history), plus it has Straight Outta Compton to thank for increasing interest in hip hop biopics. And then there's the very smart move of casting Jamal Woolard as the Notorious BIG, a role he played in Notorious so well back in 2009.
Gurira will play Shakur's mother Afeni Shakur and Cohan will play his first manager Leila Steinberg.
