5. Baby Driver (Jon Bernthal)
After Ant-Man, the question of what Edgar Wright would do next became one of the most interesting issues in Hollywood. He eventually settled on this Getaway Driver flick starring Ansel Elgort as a music loving driver who helps bank robbers out. It's at least partly based on a video Wright made for Mint Royale back in 2003, and the genre spirit in Wright's work should definitely be considered cause for excitement.
The cast is also really great, with Elgort joined by Kevin Spacey, Jamie Foxx, John Hamm and Jon Bernthal playing the bank robbers on the job that inevitably goes wrong and propels the plot forward. It's not just one of the most exciting Walking Dead vet films of the year, but one of the best prospects generally.
There is life after Marvel after all.
