25 Predictions For Summer 2016's Rotten Tomatoes Scores
14. Now You See Me 2 (54%)
Predicted Critical Consensus: "A marginal improvement over the original, Now You See Me 2 benefits from an expanded cast and entertaining action sequences, though still comes up short on fleshed-out characters and nuanced plot." The simple likelihood that the filmmakers have hopefully learned from the first movie not to shove an improbable and ridiculous plot twist into the third act should theoretically make this sequel at least slightly more satisfying than the original. Still, critics will probably take the film to task for rustling up CGI tricks rather than practical magic (which would be far more satisfying to watch and feel like less of a cheat), but with the likes of Daniel Radcliffe and Lizzy Caplan joining the cast, it'll charm enough critics to get a decent-ish score.
