15. Warcraft (68%)
Predicted Critical Consensus: "Visually stunning and unexpectedly emotional, Warcraft is cinema's strongest video game adaptation yet, even if its narrative treads fairly familiar terrain." On one hand, Duncan Jones has proven himself a terrific director with Moon and Source Code, but he's never taken on a film this huge or high-budget before, and the first trailer released for Warcraft just seems...OK? Yes, it looks visually gorgeous, but the plot seems totally by-the-numbers, and it's hard not to expect a film that'll get trashed by the hardcore World of Warcraft fans but get 3-star reviews across the board from less-fussy, non-fanboy critics. It'll be the best-reviewed video game movie to date, but given the potential of realising this rich world on-screen, we'll probably end up wishing it was better.
