25 Predictions For Summer 2016's Rotten Tomatoes Scores
21. The Huntsman: Winter's War (53%)
Predicted Critical Consensus: "Despite a mesmerising performance from Emily Blunt, The Huntsman: Winter's War is an only intermittently entertaining adventure flick, hampered by cliches, underdeveloped characters and an unconvincing romance." Though there weren't many people left wanting a follow-up to 2012's Snow White and the Huntsman, there's every chance that this Kristen Stewart-less spin-off could improve at least a little on what came before (it scored 48%). Smartly, it retains Chris Hemsworth and Charlize Theron as the Huntsman and the wicked Queen respectively, while adding Emily Blunt and Jessica Chastain for good measure. It may also benefit from a new writing team, including the legendary Frank Darabont (The Shawshank Redemption), even if it's likely that first-time director (and visual effects artist on the previous film) Cedric Nicolas-Troyan might fall into a few newbie pitfalls. In short, don't be surprised if its score tilts 10% in either direction.
