25 Predictions For Summer 2016's Rotten Tomatoes Scores
22. X-Men: Apocalypse (78%)
Predicted Critical Consensus: "It may not represent Bryan Singer's strongest contribution to the franchise, but X-Men: Apocalypse benefits from riveting set-pieces and a fantastic new cast, led by Oscar Isaac in the title role." Though there are a few question marks surrounding the new X-Men movie (how will it set up a new movie? is Apocalypse as goofy as he looks? will Sophie Turner's terrible American accent be distracting throughout?), Singer's track record on this series speaks for itself, so it's hard to imagine the film being less than solidly entertaining. After all, even X-Men: The Last Stand scored a very forgiving 58%, so there's virtually no chance of it slipping lower than that, but it's also possible that critics might be feeling a little bit of X-Men fatigue, hence it scoring less than the two prior movies in the new trilogy (First Class and Days of Future Past scored 87% and 91% respectively).
