4. The Racist Maynards

Though the rifle wielding, hat wearing Candyland employee isn't actually named, he does, tellingly yell "ain't no n*gger gonna kill Maynard", before he is inevitably gunned down with bullets made of solid irony.

That name of course ties him to another racist in the Tarantino universe, who also likes to point guns at people: Maynard the owner of the Pawn Shop (and lots of very dirty secrets in the basement) who captures Butch and Marsellus in Pulp Fiction.

Fleshing out the extended universe, the link perhaps explains why the later Maynard is a racist: perhaps his family was haunted by the story of a murderous black man rampaging through his place of work killing everyone without bias.

He was, after all, only doing his job.
