This one boils more down to theory than anything concrete, but until Quentin Tarantino comes out and blows it out of the water it will continue to be peddled by fans of his work. Rather than being related, it is said that Rufus, the nomadic piano player who appears at the Bride's wedding in Kill Bill 2 is Jules, 20 plus years down the road.

After all, Jules chose the life of a drifter after he was touched by God. Obviously this would contradict Tarantino's twin universe theory, but he has admitted some characters are the exceptions to his rules and a nomadic character like Jules/Rufus would fit that bill.

Likewise, Jasper in Death Proof is probably the unnamed trucker in Kill Bill who rapes the Bride in her sleep.
