19. One Of The Locations Is Haunted

Talking about location shooting, Oak Alley plantation in Vacherie, Louisiana was the primary locus for Louis’ ancestral home at the beginning of the film… but pseudo-vampiric goings on aren’t the only supernatural shenanigans it’s famous for. The house and grounds have been reputed to be haunted for years.

Visitors have witnessed psychokinetic activity, with inanimate objects appearing to fly from room to room and experienced cold spots and uncanny presences.

So far, so unsubstantiated… but people working in and around the site have also reported a variety of unusual happenings, from the sound of a woman or a child crying, to the manifestation of a Class III Full Torso Free Floating Vaporous Apparition in the form of a slender, dark-haired female. The spectre has been seen wandering the halls, standing at the balcony and even riding a horse around the building.
