13. Bolaji Badejo Beat Peter Mayhew To The Part Of The Alien

After deciding against using animatronics for the alien and settling on the classic guy-in-a-suit method, the part eventually went to Bolaji Baedjo, a seven-foot tall graphic design student that the crew spotted in a pub. His skinny frame and long limbs were just what was needed to give the alien its trademark insect-like appearance.

However, the part nearly went to Peter Mayhew, who just 2 years earlier had played a certain furry alien sidekick in a certain successful space opera. With Considering Harrison Ford could played Dallas as well, it would have made for a very strange alternate universe indeed to see Chewie murdering Han in a vent.
