25 Worst Christmas Movies Of All Time

23. I’ll Be Home For Christmas (1998)

Santa With Muscles
Buena Vista Pictures

Hilariously described by legendary film critic Roger Ebert as "Pleasantville made from anti-matter", this 1998 Christmas road movie sees Jonathan Taylor Thomas' toolbag protagonist scrambling to travel across the country in time for Christmas Eve, as his father promises to gift him his vintage 1957 Porsche if he makes it home for Christmas dinner.

Thomas gives a thoroughly irritating performance as the totally unlikable protagonist, and as such the movie's inevitable schmaltzy redemption beats at the end don't pay off. He's still an a**hole, and the movie doesn't do enough to turn him around or present a heart-warming message about the importance of family.

Not a classic, then.
