It begins with the not-so-bad but nevertheless irritating glimpse of Reed taking a selfie with the inter-dimensional gate, and once the gang arrive at "Planet Zero" as the scientists call it, Johnny talks about taking a picture for Instagram. It's just embarrassing and in part signifies exactly what's wrong with the film.
