Claire is a pretty tedious character throughout most of Jurassic World, an uptight shrew who, of course, eventually learns to just chill out and be cool. As has been a cliche for years, the seemingly defenseless woman gets her one moment of bada**ery when various dinosaurs are unleashed upon the park's visitors. During this sustained dinosaur attack sequence, she manages to use Owen's gun to kill a Dimorphodon, temporarily saving Owen and the kids from attack, a rather cringe-worthy moment that's somewhat reminiscent of the "You remind me of my mother" gag from Terminator 3, where Claire Danes picks up a machine gun and destroys a flying robot out of nowhere. This one moment doesn't make Claire a likeable or powerful female character. No thanks.
Stay at home dad who spends as much time teaching his kids the merits of Martin Scorsese as possible (against the missus' wishes).
