25 WTF Moments From The Mission: Impossible Franchise

14. The Face Mask Printer (Mission: Impossible III)

After the insanity of M:I2, the third film clearly tried to rein things in a little and make it all seem more realistic. As such, it makes great pains to show off how the face masks are made, with several pictures of Davian's being fed into a computer, which then creates a face model for the mask printer to create, before the mask is sprayed to resemble actual flesh. This money shot comes when Luther (Ving Rhames) is helping Ethan fit the mask on, and in one seamless shot, it changes from Cruise wearing a crude mask to Hoffman "standing in" as Hunt. Sure, not every crazy gadget in this series needs an explanation, but this was pretty fun.
