1. The Insane Final Action Sequence (Mission: Impossible II)
Where to begin with this one? The final, 15-minute set-piece in MI:2 is easily the silliest in the series, though it's also an example of John Woo at the height of his high-octane powers. Here are just a few of the scene's more ridiculous moments: Ethan shoots a guy riding a motorcycle in mid-air, hijacks said bike and rides it through a huge explosion like he's The Terminator, performs acrobatic gun ballet while riding the bike, pulls off a burnout to blind enemy vehicles, skates alongside the bike to avoid gunfire (somehow without ruining his shoes), dives off his bike to clothesline Ambrose in mid-air, and finally, kicks a gun out of the sand, catches it in mid-air and uses it to kill Ambrose. Some might argue that M:I2 goes too far in the way of ridiculous thrills, but it's nothing if not outrageously enjoyable. Which moments from the Mission: Impossible franchise most made you sit up and scream, "WTF!"? Shout them out in the comments!
