The gang wake up from their slumber only to find Abner Doubleday (John Turturro), the inventor of baseball, inventing baseball right at their feet. He offers to lead them to their father if they help him figure out the rules to the game, leading to an amusing if totally overlong sequence where we learn a few "facts": the game originally had 12 players per team, Doubleday called it "Stickie McSchtickens", it was initially "two strikes and you're out", and the home run was invented because Doubleday was too lazy to go get the ball. Again, funny, but it goes on for over 5 minutes and ultimately wears out its welcome.
Stay at home dad who spends as much time teaching his kids the merits of Martin Scorsese as possible (against the missus' wishes).
