14. Kirk Baltz Took A Ride In Michael Madsen's Trunk For Real

The capture and torture of Nash in the movie feels incredibly authentic, and actor Kirk Baltz wanted to ensure he truly felt the physicality of being kidnapped and brutalised, and so asked Michael Madsen to give him a ride in the trunk of his car.

Madsen duly complied, but also saw this as a unique opportunity to get into character himself.

As such, Madsen decided to drive down an alley filled with potholes, before taking an extended drive to a nearby Taco Bell to get a drive-through order and then finally letting him out of the trunk.

Given how convincingly rattled Baltz was as Nash, it was clearly an exercise that paid off.

And in an added dose of trivia, the soda we see Mr. Blonde sipping on during his famous introduction is the very same one Madsen actually bought at the drive-through.
