A few years before he struck it rich with his star-making role on ER, a jobbing George Clooney auditioned for Reservoir Dogs' role of Mr. Blonde, but was ultimately turned down by Tarantino.

Obviously things worked out for Clooney regardless, and he eventually ended up re-teaming with Tarantino for Robert Rodriguez's vampire cult classic From Dusk Till Dawn, which Tarantino both wrote and co-starred in.

It's easy to see how Clooney could've knocked Mr. Blonde out of the park, but it's also tough to imagine him doing a better job than Madsen when it comes to the character's gruff, imposing screen presence.
