At the end of the movie, Senator Hughes decries Boss for his implementation of the human centipede, citing the obvious human rights violations and damning legal situation they find themselves in. Hughes leaves and a despondent Boss is then approached by an ecstatic Dr. Jones, who deems the project a huge success and asks Boss when they can start rolling out a "national surgical campaign". Boss can't handle it and shoots Jones in the stomach, before delivering one final shot in the head.
