Much like his brother Dylan, Cole Sprouse grew up on TV. He portrayed Cody Martin in The Suite Life of Zack & Cody and its spin-off The Suite Life On Deck before taking a break to study at college. After the pair's acting hiatus came to an end, Cole was cast as the mysterious writer Jughead Jones in The CW's highly-successful teen thriller Riverdale — a role that would reinvigorate his career.
Portraying a darker role gave Sprouse the chance to undergo a repackage of sorts, as it marked a departure from his previous roles as a child actor. In fact, he's so good at playing the troubled, moody character that Jughead often steals the show from protagonist Archie Andrews.
With the actor set to make his return to mainstream movies next year, Sprouse may end up becoming a leading man on the big screen in the very near future. That is, of course, when he's not solving mysteries and saving the day on Riverdale.
