Nina Dobrev popped up in a number of TV films early in her career before she landed her first significant role in Degrassi: The Next Generation. However, it was her performance in The CW's The Vampire Dairies that would alter the course of her career. Since that breakout role, she has gone on to star in a number of movies, including The Perks of Being A Wallflower, Let's Be Cops, xXx: Return of Xander Cage and Flatliners.
Receiving praise for her differing portrayals of Elena Gilbert and Katherine Pierce on The Vampire Diaries, Dobrev was often credited as one of the standouts on the show. As her wide array of roles have proven, she is a natural and has no problem channelling her emotions to make us cry or delivering ridiculous one-liners to make us laugh.
