Nick Robinson grew up on our TV screens on ABC Family sitcom Melissa & Joey, in which his character's dry wit and complete obliviousness never failed to make viewers laugh. He then got the chance to show off his dramatic acting chops in 2013 indie film The Kings of Summer. However, it was his role in blockbuster Jurassic World that really introduced him to mainstream audiences.
Since then, he has had continued to star in independent films (Being Charlie, Krystal) while playing supporting roles in major movies (The 5th Wave, Everything, Everything), all of which allowed him to show off his diverse skills as an actor. After working his way up, 2018 was finally his time to shine as a leading man. Robinson's authentic performance as gay teenager in the acclaimed Love, Simon gave him the chance to show audiences what he was truly capable of when the spotlight was placed firmly on him. He wasn't playing anyone's moody older brother or the cute boy from next door — he was the sole focus of this movie and he shined.
