Even after announcing the likes of Black Widow, Eternals, and the rest of the Phase Four slate, including a handful of unprecedented Disney+ series, Kevin Feige still saw fit to drop the proverbial mic at Hall H in 2019 with the announcement of the MCU's version of Blade.

After the popularity of Wesley Snipes' iteration of the character, fans have wanted to see the vampire hunter cross over into the Marvel Cinematic Universe for some time, and though Snipes himself will not be returning, there is plenty of reason to be excited.

The journey into the dark world of the half human, half vampire will represent something completely different to anything the MCU has explored before, and the studio has managed to bring in one of the strongest actors, and greatest possible choices to do the job.

After portraying Cornell "Cottonmouth" Stokes in Luke Cage, Mahershala Ali will join the long list of actors who have played more than one character in the franchise.
