While the MCU is thought of as a very family friendly franchise, there are certain characters that don't exactly fit the general Disney image. Deadpool is one, and Moon Knight is another. However, the MCU will be introducing its own version of the latter on Disney+.

When Marc Spector was killed and left for dead, he was brought back to the world by the Egyptian Moon God, Khonshu. Since then he has operated as a vigilante in New York under the guise of Moon Knight, one of Marvel's darkest characters.

Diagnosed with Dissociative Identity Disorder, Marc houses the multiple identities of Steven Grant and Jake Lockley, as he uses his given powers and expert fighting skills to try and keep New York a safer place. He is essentially Marvel's answer to Batman.

After much speculation and rumours suggesting someone like Daniel Radcliffe or Keanu Reeves would take on the role, Marvel have since confirmed that it will be Oscar Isaac bringing Marc Spector to life. After Apocalypse in X-Men, and Miguel O'Hara in Into the Spider-Verse, this will make the actor the first to play three separate Marvel characters for three different studios.
