29 Brand New Characters Coming To MCU Phase 4
4. Maya Lopez/Echo & Her Father - Hawkeye
While there will be several villains facing the two Hawkeyes on Disney+, there will at least be one more hero fighting the good fight along side them in the form of Echo, AKA Maya Lopez. The character has had a very complicated history throughout Marvel Comics, first siding with her father figure Wilson Fisk, before joining the Avengers.
Her skillset is somewhat similar to that of Taskmaster, in that she has the ability to mimic any action or fighting style that she sees. Maya will be the MCU's second deaf hero after Eternals' Makkari, and will be joined in Hawkeye by her father, William.
In the comics, the Native American hero's father was murdered at the hands of Wilson Fisk, and though it may sound strange, it was his dying wish that his killer bring up his daughter in his absence.
Though it's all but certain that Wilson Fisk won't show up in Hawkeye, the MCU does seem to enjoy killing off its heroes' parents, so don't expect to see Zahn McClarnon's William Lopez make it to the end of the series.
