3 Ups & 7 Downs From The Legend Of Tarzan

1. Tarzan Wears A Shirt For Most Of The Movie

The film begins as Tarzan is living in England under the name John Clayton III, though most surely expected that once the first act was over and he'd made his way back to the jungle, he would quickly shed the shirt and spend the rest of the movie baring his impeccable abs, right? Nope.

Despite Tarzan's iconic look being minimal on the attire front, here Tarzan is clothed for the majority of the movie, barely showing off his classic look until the film's third act outside of a few brief flashback glimpses.

Even forgetting the world's desire to see Alexander Skarsgard wearing as little as necessary, it just seems like a strange choice not to emphasise the physicality of the character as much as possible. If there's one thing in this film that should've been 100%, total common sense, it's to have Tarzan back to his primal, shirtless form as quickly as possible.
