Speaking of Loki, it's difficult to imagine anyone but Tom Hiddelston as the God of Mischief now, but apparently Thor director Kenneth Branagh was at one point looking closely at 30 Days Of Night star Josh Hartnett. It's also worth noting that Hartnett's name has popped up repeatedly over the years in connection with other superhero films (he was once close to playing Superman in a defunct Batman vs. Superman movie). According to Hartnett, he was hoping to bring much of what Heath Ledger brought to the role of The Joker, to his portrayal of Loki. Once again, it's pretty safe to say that Marvel probably made the right decision with their Loki casting choice.
