Batman Triumphant is probably one of the biggest dodged bullets in the history of cinema. Apparently a few studio executives were impressed with the Batman & Robin dailies and gave this would-be sequel the green-light on the spot. The film would bring back most of the characters and actors of the previous film, including George Clooney, Chris ODonnell and Alicia Silverstone. They were also going to bring in some new characters as well. Most notably, the Material Girl herself Madonna was set to play the unhinged Harley Quinn. Thankfully after Batman & Robin was released to dismal box-office returns and reviews the studio execs quickly realized the mistake they were about to make. They promptly pulled the plug.
