Even after all of these years, Director John McTiernans thoroughly badass Predator makes nearly every other cinematic alien look ridiculously lame and toilet paper soft by comparison. The films titular baddie is a technologically advanced extraterrestrial that resembles a diesel Rastafarian and uses laser weaponry and active camouflage invisibility to hunt special forces fighters for sport. Immensely quotable and ridiculously entertaining, Predator strikes a perfect balance of horror, suspense and crazy action. From the immediately iconic design of the creature itself to the awesome final showdown between Arnold Schwarzeneggers Dutch and the Predator. As the last survivor of the hunt the Predator ultimately challenges Dutch to hand-to-hand combat. The ensuing fight is quite one-sided: the Predator is easily able to beat Dutch into submission, and moves in for the kill. Battered and barely able to move, Dutch manages to lure the creature into a trap. Or rather, hes able to drop the counterweight from one of his traps. Thus, barely surviving the duel by the skin of his teeth - making him the luckiest man in the world. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_eF8OJmB6kY
