Nebula is, of course, the adopted daughter of Thanos and adopted sister of Gamora, as well as an ally of Ronan the Accuser, vowing to follow him to the ends of the Earth if he can kill Thanos (spoiler: he doesn't).

However, she easily overshadows the outrageously dull Ronan, thanks to her compelling backstory, strong combat skills, and awesome look (all the more awesome when you know how Karen Gillan normally looks).

The cybernetic augmentations are one thing, but here's a character so unrelentingly bada** that she'd rather sever her own hand off than accept help from a rival. Thankfully Nebula lived to see another day, and will apparently have an expanded role in the upcoming sequel.
