Now, this one truly is a work-in-progress, and once we've seen Thanos actually do something in Infinity War, he could easy leap a good 20-25 places on our list.

For now, though, despite being the MCU's real big bad, he's had a fairly muted presence, appearing in The Avengers' mid-credits scene, showing up for like a minute in Guardians of the Galaxy, and briefly again in Avengers: Age of Ultron's mid-credits scene.

It's something of a running joke that Thanos' pursuit of the Infinity Stones has had him delegating so much responsibility to his inept lackeys, such that we're still two years away from actually getting to see him bring the pain to Earth himself.

Still, he looks freaking awesome and Josh Brolin is a terrific choice to play him, so we're sure he'll deliver once he eventually gets use of the Infinity Gauntlet.
