C-3PO may just be one half of a formidable double act, but he's just as good on his own as he is with fellow companion R2-D2.
Portrayed with great dedication by Anthony Daniels, 3PO is always there to provide a good nag when things aren't going swimmingly, and does a damn good impression of a lightsaber while entertaining Ewoks on Endor. There's also the obvious fact that he's one of the most recognisable figures in the series' history, and has been involved in every single film, filling various roles.
Sure, it's a little bit weird that the Dark Lord of the Sith created 3PO when he was just a child, but overlook that one tiny contrivance and you're left with one of the most entertaining droids in the galaxy.

He followed this with a brief hiatus at Screen Rant in 2021, where he worked across the Gaming and Film sections as a writer and editor, before returning to WhatCulture as a Senior Content Producer / Presenter in 2023. He started his own podcast, We Love Dad Movies, in 2022, and has contributed several written pieces to the Eisner-nominated comics website Shelfdust as well.
In his current role, Ewan incorporates his love of cinema, comic books, and history into written pieces and video essays for WhatCulture's Film & TV channel, as well as WhatCulture Gaming and WhatCulture Horror, with a particular focus on nineties-era Dad Movies, old school Westerns, and Golden Age Hollywood Noir. John Carpenter is his fave, and he thinks Batman Beyond should never have been cancelled. If that's your vibe, you'll probably like his stuff.
