Doctor Aphra is one of the more recent additions to the Star Wars canon, having been introduced in Kieron Gillen and Salvador Larroca's critically lauded Darth Vader comic, but she quickly became a fan-favourite.

An expert archaeologist and rogue who's handy with a blaster, Aphra is recruited by Vader before deciding to make her own way in the galaxy. The spin-off Aphra comic ended up being just as praised as the main Vader title, and with more excursions to the Original Trilogy timeline almost guaranteed, it would be wise to expect her to make the leap to the big or small screen in the future.
