30 Most Anticipated Movies For The Rest Of 2018

14. Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes Of Grindelwald

Fantastic Beasts The Crimes Of Grindelwald
Warner Bros.

Despite being based on a textbook, Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them was a strong entry into the Wizarding World, featuring all the sense of wonder and magic you'd expect, while Eddie Redmayne's Newt made for a great new lead.

To that end, The Crimes of Grindelwald should offer plenty more of the same fun, with a number of new beasts on show too. But it's also a film that needs to go darker as Grindelwald's army grows, and Scamander is recruited by none other than Albus Dumbledore to go on a dangerous mission to stop him.

Jude Law's young Dumbledore looks great (and hasn’t, as far as we know, committed any crimes, despite the original heading...), the return to Hogwarts should be exciting, and while the jury is still out on Johnny Depp's dark wizard, the rest of the movie looks like another magical trip to the world created by J.K. Rowling.
