Two major features in, and Damien Chazelle has marked himself out as a singular talent with a great vision, thanks to the intense Whiplash and the beautiful La La Land.

His next film is a departure from the music theme of those two, but no less exciting: the story of NASA's mission to put a man on the moon, with a focus on Neil Armstrong.

Ryan Gosling is once again Chazelle's leading man, and a great fit for Armstrong, while the excellent supporting cast includes Claire Foy, Kyle Chandler, and Jon Bernthal. It's not just going to be a standard biopic though, with descriptions of it being a visceral mission movie, having lots of action, and really showing just how dangerous the mission was.
