Hype: It's taken way too long for the MCU to get into both feminine leads and the cosmic realm, but at least we're there now with both. And after telling us for years that he's SUPER excited about the possibility of adapting Doctor Strange, Kevin Feige will be hoping Scott Derickson scores a big win with his debut.
It's still a brave decision, and it's one that has been rocked by racial controversy and accusations of political cowing, but it helps the horror director immensely that he has the likes of Benedict Cumberbatch, Tilda Swinton, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Mads Mikkelsen to count on.
The trailers have promised amazing effects and mind-bending thrills, and it looks like we're going to see another Marvel winner. (And no, they haven't paid me to say it).
