Hype: Previously known as the possibly more cool sounding Arms And The Dudes, War Dogs is a strange prospect, since it's directed by Todd Phillips, but it's based on such a good story and cast so well that the oddity gets a pass.
It's the kind of unbelievable yarn you'd scarcely believe, as the fledgling dealers score a US government contract and end up chased on all sides. I can't overstate just how brilliant the original article is, and in Hill and Teller, they've got two of the hottest young actors in Hollywood.
Phillips needs a win after the deliriously bad Project X and The Hangover III, so let's hope this is the mender his career requires.
