While puttering around the universe in a giant cue ball, an alien (closely modelled on The Amazing Colossal Man) decides to scare a woman driving through the Californian desert, and the radiation from his ship causes her to transform into a giant.

When the police attempt to track down the creature, he disappears into his cue ball and flies away, never to be seen again. What exactly is it that you do, big fella?
