30 Things You Didn't Know About Tim Burton's Batman
13. Tim Burton Called The Film "Boring"
It's little surprise that having just three months to shoot a $35 million superhero tentpole was a major stress on Tim Burton, who seemed exasperated with the whole process once principal photography wrapped.
Burton said in an interview after finishing the film, "I liked parts of it, but the whole movie is mainly boring to me. It's okay, but it was more of a cultural phenomenon than a great movie."
Granted, time has allowed Burton to get some much needed emotional distance from the film, and he certainly seems more fond of it in recent years. Still, trashing your own film is rarely a good look.
