Batman co-creator Bob Kane was originally supposed to make a cameo appearance in the film, but after he unexpectedly fell ill, his cameo was supposed to be rescheduled, yet this sadly never happened.

Kane was intended to cameo as a cartoonist who passes a caricature drawing of Batman to reporter Alexander Knox (Robert Wuhl), but Kane ultimately doesn't appear in the scene or indeed the movie at all.

Kane did reportedly end up appearing in Batman Forever yet wasn't credited for the part, so answers on a postcard if you've spotted him!
