22. Hubie Halloween
Though Hubie Halloween is just the latest film in Adam Sandler's seemingly interminable deal with Netflix, it at least looks like a solid step above his usual no-effort "comedies."
Yes, the expected Sandler-isms are there - the grating voice, and the presence of all his pals - but it also boasts a bafflingly distinguished cast, including Steve Buscemi, Maya Rudolph, and June Squibb, and looks like it might land on just the right side of goofy to work.
Nobody's expecting Oscars out of this, but some harmless Sandler fun might be just what the doctor ordered this Halloween.
Hubie Halloween is released on Netflix on October 7th.
