Any film produced by the brilliant Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead (Spring, The Endless) is definitely worth paying attention to, and this genre-hopping romantic monster movie is absolutely within their uniquely twisted wheelhouse.

Colliding a compellingly mysterious relationship drama with an equally enigmatic creature feature, After Midnight certainly won't be for all tastes, but is likely to go down well with fans of Benson and Moorhead's unique genre sensilibities.

If far more of a drama than a straight horror, it's at least shot through with great acting skill by Jeremy Gardner and Brea Grant, ensuring the character elements achieve maximum poignance.
