31 Horror Movies You Must Watch This October 2022

11. Speak No Evil

Speak No Evil is one of the most aggressively twisted psychological horrors of the last few years, and another movie best watched without knowing too much about where it's all going.

The basic setup sees a Danish couple (Morten Burian and Sidsel Siem Koch) invited to the country home of a Dutch couple (Fedja van HuĂȘt and Karina Smulders) they meet on holiday.

While pleasant at first, the cultural and personality differences between the couples soon come bubbling to the surface with shockingly ugly results.

This is a gut-wrenching, cringe-worthy black comedy about the things we as people will put up with in the name of politeness, so brilliantly wrought by filmmaker Christian Tafdrup and his outstanding cast.

It's not a pleasant time at the movies, but it's certainly a conversation-starter you won't be forgetting any time soon.

Speak No Evil is out now on Shudder.
