31 Horror Movies You Must Watch This October 2022

7. Resurrection

Hellraiser Pinhead
Secret Engine

Resurrection deserves to be one of the most talked-about horror films of 2022, if not off the strength of its deeply mysterious and ultimately disturbing narrative, then Rebecca Hall's mesmerising, Oscar-worthy performance.

Hall plays Margaret, a single mother whose life is completely upended when a man from her past, David (Tim Roth), re-enters her life.

To say anything more than that would be to spoil Resurrection's jaw-dropping journey of discovery, but just know that you probably won't be able to predict where the story's going.

Again, Hall is magnificent as the traumatised Margaret, while Tim Roth is sublimely unnerving as this taunting, provocative figure from her youth. It won't be for everyone, but open-minded horror fans won't be able to stop thinking about it.

Resurrection is out now on Shudder.
