24. Sean Boswell Ages A Decade In 2 Seconds

One of the few unintentionally hilarious moments in the movie comes when Han's death reconnects with the plot and Dom heads to Japan to "bring him home". Here he meets up with Sean Boswell (Lucas Black), just as in the end of Tokyo Drift, though sadly, the movie doesn't actually show the race between the pair, instead somewhat implying that Dom beat him (if not explicitly). What's funny, though, is that the movie makes practically no effort to disguise that Lucas Black has aged 9 years since Tokyo Drift, cutting from footage of the actor as a 22/23-year-old to him more recently at about age 31-32 with a more receding hairline. It was a nice cameo for the character (if disappointingly short) ahead of his apparent return for Furious 8 as a core component of the team, but there's a huge age issue which needs to be addressed here, especially considering the character is still supposed to be a high school student. Perhaps this is a fine opportunity for a time leap?
